Privacy

Our on-site chat assistant, Tal, is an AI. Your conversation is stored for about 30 days so the chat can pick up where you left off, then deleted. We ask for your email only if you request our newsletter — nothing is sent until you confirm it (double opt-in), and every email carries a one-click unsubscribe. No advertising trackers, no selling your data.

Effective July 18, 2026.

Who we are

The Tel Aviv Property Report is an independent English-language property publication. This page explains what personal data the website and its chat assistant collect, why, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. It is written in plain English on purpose — if anything here is unclear, tell us and we will fix the wording.

The chat assistant (Tal)

Most pages on this site offer a chat assistant named Tal. Tal is an AI assistant, not a person, and it will say so if you ask. It answers questions about the Tel Aviv market using our own published data and site pages.

When you chat with Tal, here is what is stored and why:

We do not use the chat to build an advertising profile of you, and we do not sell or rent chat data. Please don’t type sensitive personal information (financial details, identity documents) into the chat — it is a general information tool, not a secure channel.

Your email — only if you ask for the newsletter

We ask for your email address in one situation only: when you tell Tal (or tap the card) that you want our weekly newsletter of recommended new listings and buying tips. There is no other place in the chat that captures your email.

Who processes your data

We keep the list of processors short and name them plainly:

Cookies and tracking

This site does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, so there is no consent banner to click through. The chat assistant stores a single random session ID in your browser’s localStorage purely to reconnect your conversation, as described above. You can clear it at any time from your browser’s site-data settings; doing so simply starts a fresh chat.

Contact

Questions about this policy, or a request to see or delete your data, are welcome. Reach us via the contact details on our About page. We’ll respond to genuine requests about your own data.

Changes to this policy

If we change what the chat stores or add a new processor, we will update this page and move the effective date at the top. This is version dated July 18, 2026.
